I come from a long line of stealthy animal sneaksters and tricksters. My mother is a seven-tailed kitsune and my father is a harlequin owl. Yes it’s strange that I turned out as a blue and white cat. I’ve got a pretty weird family.

I suppose it is. And I suppose a lot of frisky furmiliars are magical hybrids, crossbreeds or whatever you want to call them. It’s one way to transmogrify our powers. And as furmiliars, we can all temporarily shape-shift into human forms too, in order to learn about the human world, secretly help humans… or occasionally cause mischief. And that’s why we sometimes regard ourselves as part of the human race too.

Yeah we met on an epic quest to find the mithril materia source where we had to fight a three-headed demon snake in the forsaken land of…

No we didn’t! We met while playing an online game of Kenny’s ‘80s Kung Fu Dance-off! (A real tough game to complete in single-player mode because it’s old-school.) Our head-to-head score at the last count was 7,289-all.
